About Us

Founded in January 2017 by Steve Christensen, Christensen Public Relations is a full-service communications and public affairs consultancy specializing in agriculture, environment, healthcare, manufacturing, public policy, technology, and transportation. With decades of combined public policy and political experience, we use our extensive expertise to advise clients on effectively navigating the demanding and ever-changing modern communications landscape. 

Before starting Christensen Public Relations, Steve was a Managing Director in the Public Affairs and Crisis Practice at Burson-Marsteller in Washington, DC. There, he advised numerous industry organizations and corporate clients, including some of the world’s leading commodity groups, chemical manufacturers, and energy providers. 

Before joining the private sector, Steve served as a senior policy official at the United States  Department of Agriculture (USDA). He oversaw the administration of 14 of the nation’s 15 nutrition assistance programs, including the National School Lunch Program, the Women,  Infants, and Children (WIC) program, and several national commodity distribution programs. Throughout his tenure at the USDA, Steve focused on supporting public health and production agriculture by developing and implementing sound, science-based public policy.
